Warminster Town Council: Delivering a brighter, greener future for all

Take part in Longleat letter trail for chance to win VIP prize for up to six people

Warminster Town Council has teamed up with world famous Longleat Safari Park to put on a summer holiday letter trail in Warminster. The stars of the park have appeared in 14 posters in businesses across the town centre.

To take part in the challenge, simply download the ‘Explore Wiltshire’ App, available to download for free from the Apple App Store: Apple App Store: Explore Wiltshire and Google Play: Google Play: Explore Wiltshire (download the Warminster content and select hunts) find ‘Longleat Safari letter trail’, which will guide users around the town and to the location of each animal poster.

Each poster gives a letter; once you have collected all the letters, unscramble them to work out the Longleat phrase – visit the Civic Centre (Sambourne Road, Warminster BA12 8LB) and tell us the answer, as well as showing confirmation on your phone of completing the trail. One entry per family.

One lucky correct entry will secure a VIP Bronze Safari for up to six people. Each correct entry will receive a Longleat charm keyring (subject to availability). 

The competition will run until Monday 2nd September with the winner announced on Tuesday 3rd September.

A VIP Prize ‘Get Even Closer’:
Bronze VIP Safari Tours
The winner of this VIP voucher will have a wonderful experience at Longleat. The VIP voucher will entitle 6 people to the Bronze VIP experience. It is valid for 12 months from 30/09/24.

Whichever animals you have a soft spot, for your expert guide will provide you with lots of exciting and interesting facts from the comfort of the 4×4, creating an experience you will always remember.

The prize includes:

  • A Guided 4×4 Land Rover safari tour
  • The experience and knowledge of an expert guide
  • A Day Ticket for the date of your tour

Councillor Stacie Allensby, The Mayor of Warminster said: “We are delighted to put on another interactive trail for the summer holidays as we continue to attract people to the town centre and explore all Warminster has to offer. It’s so exciting to be working with Longleat on activities which will particularly appeal to young people. What animal would you choose to see even closer?” 

Simon Askew, Interim Chief Operating Officer at Longleat, said: “We really hope people enjoy the trail around the town. Many local people who work at Longleat live in Warminster and we know our guests also stay or dine in the local area so we are very much part of the local community.”
