Do you want to work as part of a friendly, supportive team which will help deliver our vision for Warminster?  Warminster Town Council has a growing reputation for organising quality events that attract thousands of people from within and outside the town.

We are looking to recruit a:

Events Officer

  • 20 hours a week, Tuesday to Friday, 9:30am to 3.pm, with a 30 minute (unpaid) lunch break
  • Salary on the Local Government Pay Scale SCP18 (£30,559 per annum pro rata) £15.84 per hour
  • This is a fixed term contract for a year starting in March 2025 and finishing in March 2026
  • Hours may vary according to the demands of the job, some weekends and Bank Holidays
  • This is a new post and it is envisaged that it may continue beyond this end date


The Events Organiser will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the main town council events, ensuring they are successful, safe, and engaging for the community. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event management, a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, and exceptional organisational skills.

Events Officer 2025 job description

Would you like to work as part of a friendly, supportive team and help deliver our vision for Warminster?

We are looking to recruit a:

 Pavilion Café Manager

  • This role is a fixed-term post of 37 hours per week, from the beginning of March 2025 to the end of October 2025.
  • Salary on the Local Government Pay Scale SCP 12. £14.36 per hour 37 hours a week (£2309.25 per month).
  • Hours are 9:35am – 5:30pm (café is open 10:00am – 5:00pm every day). Your working week would be 5 days per week including weekends, school holidays, and Bank Holidays.

You will earn a competitive wage, with an excellent opportunity for skill development.

The café primarily offers hot and cold drinks, prepackaged ice creams and snacks, with some food preparation and cooking involved. As a prominent facility within the town council, the café holds a key role in maintaining the council’s high-profile reputation. We are looking for someone with good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritise actions, and lead a small team. Previous experience as a supervisor, assistant manager, or manager, in a busy, customer facing and/or food environment would be beneficial.
