Warminster u3a Monthly Meeting – RNLI: Saving Lives at Sea (Glyn Hayes)
Wednesday 31st January, 2pm, Warminster Civic Centre, entry £3.00 including tea, coffee and biscuits
A retired GP, Glyn now volunteers at the Weston-Super-Mare RNLI Lifeboat Station, part of the national charity that saves lives at sea. Consisting mainly of volunteers, lifeboat crews are ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to leave their jobs, families and risk their own lives to save those in danger on or near the sea. Join us for this fascinating insight into the work of the RNLI and volunteers, plus videos of some dramatic sea rescues.
