More than 100 stalls and lots of amazing entertainment will greet visitors at the exciting Warminster Independent Summer Market on Saturday 29th June.

Final preparations are in place with multiple stalls and food vendors ready to line the High Street and Market Place as well as an interesting mix of stalls inside the Civic Centre, with the joined-up event running from 10am to 4.30pm

The Warminster Business Network in conjunction with Warminster Town Council is ready and raring to deliver. In the High Street and Market Place there will be something for everyone from crafts, cards to clothes, cupcakes to Charcuterie plus food from the East to the Caribbean. The Old Fire Station will also be there with a fantastic outdoor bar.

There will also be specialist cider, independent breweries, cocktails, Hawkstone (Jeremy Clarkson) and Grichie Beer (Guy Ritchie) to quench thirst as well as a range of ice-creams and gelatos to purchase alongside our many independent shops and cafes also open for business.

In the Civic Centre popular favourites, Alfia Handmade, Fudge it & Scarper, Dave’s Doodles and Bake Me Home Cupcakes will return alongside many others. The Civic Centre coffee bar will serve a selection of hot and cold drinks, take-away or sit-in, as well as Marshfield farm ice cream, Soleros and Feasts, and snacks.

Entertainment throughout the day will be provided by The Athenaeum Masqueraders. The Athenaeum Centre will be hosting craft activities with visitors encouraged to look around Wiltshire’s oldest working theatre auditorium. There will be volunteers to show people around the building and the Box Office will also be open, with teas and coffees available.

St Lawrence Chapel will be hosting Chapel tours from 10am to 4pm (donations welcome). Warminster Community Radio (WCR) will be broadcasting live market radio, as part of the packed programme of entertainment.

With road closures in place, buses will be using temporary bus stops on Station Road. Passengers planning on using a bus on Saturday should refer to timetables at these temporary stops for further information. The markets aim to promote local businesses and encourage visitors to all areas of the town, with residents encouraged to support businesses across the whole of Warminster.

Residents are encouraged to walk to the event if possible – road closures (High Street and Market Place) will be in place and limited parking will be available at Wiltshire Council car parks around Warminster.

The High Street and Market Place roads will be closed from 7am until 7pm. Public toilets will be available at The Civic Centre, Sambourne Road, Warminster BA12 8LB.
