Warminster Community Radio

Barry Mole, Managing Director of Warminster Community Radio, will be giving a talk on the vital role community radio plays within the local area.

Barry founded Warminster Community Radio in 1996 after gaining experience in hospital radio, voicing commercials, and freelancing for the BBC in both Swindon and Bristol. Believing the time was right for a dedicated local station, he set about establishing one in Warminster. Following several successful trial broadcasts, WCR was awarded a full FM licence in 2012. Barry continues to lead the station as Managing Director and has trained many presenters who have gone on to build careers in radio and television.

There will also be a selection of short stories from our members, showcasing the creativity within Warminster u3a.

Entry £3.00 including tea, coffee and biscuits
