The Great British Spring Clean is an annual event promoted by the charity Keep Britain Tidy which aims to encourage people to take action to clean up their local environment and reduce litter pollution.

More than 35 bags of litter were picked up by volunteers – which has been disposed of by Idverde.

Cllr Stacie Allensby, said:

I’m proud to support this community littler pick event as the town council continues to work with residents to encourage pride across the town. Getting that extra litter picked up can make all the difference to wildlife and the appearance of an area.”
