Warminster Remembrance Service 2023: Booklet now available

Warminster Remembrance Service 2023 booklets are now available ahead of the Service and Parade on Sunday 12th November. As a Garrison town, Remembrance is an important part of the fabric of Warminster.

The Town Crier will lead the parade assembling in Station Road at 2.30pm. The march off will be at 2.40pm ahead of the service at 3pm at the War Memorial, Portway.

Orders of service are available in advance from the Civic Centre, Sambourne Road, Warminster, BA12 8LB, the Warminster Community Hub, Central Car Park, Station Road, Warminster, BA12 9TB and Warminster Library, Three Horseshoes Walk, Warminster, BA12 9BT.

Alternatively, they can be downloaded from the Warminster Town Council website, and they will also be available on the day.

The booklet displays all information needed for anyone attending including hymns and prayers. The booklet also has the names of the Warminster men who fell in the Great War 1914 to 1918, the Warminster men who fell in the Second World War 1939 to 1945 and the Warminster military personnel who have lost their lives in active service since the Second World War as well as the order of laying wreaths.

A collection will be taken on behalf of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

For those who are not able to attend in person, the service will be broadcast live by Warminster Community Radio 105.5 FM, or you can listen on www.wcrfm.org.uk or via the Tune-In and Radio Garden apps.
