Film show matinées continue at Warminster Civic Centre on Wednesday 16th March, showing The Last Bus, as voted for by members of the public throughout February.
The Last Bus is a drama film that stars Timothy Spall and Phyllis Logan, directed by Gillies MacKinnon. Synopsis: 80-something Tom, whose wife has just passed away, uses his free bus pass to travel from John O’Groats to Lands End where they first met, using only local buses. It’s a nostalgic trip, but he’s also carrying his wife’s ashes in a small suitcase, ‘taking her back’. In the course of his travels he interacts with local people and experiences random acts of kindness; by the end of his trip he has become something of a celebrity.
Doors for the matinées open at 1:30pm and films start at 2pm, with refreshments available at the Civic Centre coffee bar. Tickets are £4.00 and are available to purchase before the film via Civic Centre reception or call 01985 214847 (option 2) to reserve your tickets. Tickets will also be able to purchase on the day providing there are seats available.
