Warminster Art Group

Warminster Art Group is led by artist Jane Greenwood and organised by Cathy Lawrence, a community services coordinator in West Wiltshire.

A spokesperson said:

Our art and craft groups are friendly, relaxing, therapeutic and fun and you do not need to be ‘good at art’ to join in! People living with dementia and a family carer create their own projects under Jane’s guidance. We work at a leisurely pace with plenty of time for conversation and connection.  No previous experience of art is necessary and everyone works at their own pace. Activities include a variety of art and craft projects, including painting, drawing, collage, printing, crafts, clay modelling and more.”

Family carers are encouraged to join in to create in their own right and trained volunteers are on hand to lend support as needed.
