Directed by Ken Loach. The Future of Old Oak, the last remaining pub in a once thriving mining community in County Durham, is in doubt. The landlord is struggling to hold on to the one remaining public space in town. Tensions rise when Syrian refugees are place in cheap, empty houses locally and there is a clash of culture. The landlord strikes up a friendship with one of the refugees, and a common humanity of their shared experiences shines through.
