Meet and Greet with Santa’s Little Helpers at the Christmas Market
Kick of the festive season with a visit to the Warminster Civic Centre’s Christmas Market on Saturday 27th November. Doors open at 10 am to a market brimming with a variety of stalls selling gift ideas and tasty treats for your family and friends. Children can enjoy a meet and greet with our elf, Mrs Christmas and Rudolf the reindeer, bring your camera to capture the moment. There is a special festive backdrop The Mayor’s charity raffle tickets are available for £1 in aid of the Wessex MS Therapy Centre and Cure DM Myotonic Dystrophy UK. Entry to the market is FREE! The Market carries on until 4pm.
Christmas Lights Switch on
The fabulous Christmas Lights Switch-On starts in front of the St Lawrence Chapel at 5.45pm with Carols and Music. Warminster Community radio will have their excellent public address System so all will hear. Father Christmas will be in attendance and the lights themselves will be switched on at 6.30 pm by the Mayor of Warminster, Councillor Steve Jeffries. The scaffolding is provided by Bryan Loveday Services Ltd, local chimney and roofing specialist, solid fuel supplier and provider of general building services.
Road closures will operate between 5.00 pm – around 7.30pm in just The High Street and The Close.
Christmas Window Competition
While you about in Warminster, take a look at some of the outstanding displays in the Christmas Window Competition. Run by Warminster Town Council with sponsorship from The Agra (Authentic Indian Cuisine) and Daykin Estates (Residential Sales and Lettings).
All the businesses in the town centre are invited to take part.
